Wolves Twinsbet signs Matas Jogėla

Wolves Twinsbet have announced that Matas Jogėla will be wearing the team’s jersey next season after his return to Lithuania following a one-year break. The 6’6″ shooting guard/small forward agreed to a two-year contract with the Vilnius club.

The latest signing of the Lithuanian capital’s club went to Spain last summer to play for CB Breogán of Lugo where he joined fellow Lithuanian center Martynas Sajus. Jogėla averaged 7.3 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game in 19.4 minutes of playing time in the Liga ACB (Liga Endesa).

Jogėla’s numbers in the FIBA Champions League tournament were more significant, with 9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2.2 assists while playing 22 minutes per game.

After representing Lithuania in the U18 and U20 European Championships, he was also selected to a reserve for the men’s national team. Jogėla officially made his debut as a member of the senior men’s team in February of this year when he played in the match against Estonia during the FIBA EuroBasket 2025 Qualifiers.

“Matas is still a developing basketball player who has great athleticism and can play multiple positions, which is very important in modern basketball. Although he is still quite young, he has already accumulated experience in European basketball, got his taste of being an import, and was invited to play for the Lithuanian national team. We congratulate him on joining us and we hope that he will easily find his place in our squad,” said the club’s Sports Director Donatas Zavackas.

Jogėla is a native of Tauragė city and started his career in the Lithuanian Basketball League with BC Dzūkija of Alytus. Before his Spanish stint, he spent four seasons with BC Neptūnas of Klaipėda.

In his final season with BC Neptūnas, he received the LKL “Breakthrough of the Year” award.
