Wolves Twinsbet raised over €3,000 at charity auction

Wolves Twinsbet made a significant contribution through the charity event “To Live For Victory,” initiated by the Rimantas Kaukėnas Charitable Foundation.

A total of €3,155 was raised during the auction of special jerseys worn by the Lithuanian capital’s club on May 5, when they secured a victory over BC Žalgiris of Kaunas (their second win over the defending champions this season).

The specially designed kits featured the charity campaign’s slogan and were individually autographed by the Wolves players.

All proceeds from the campaign will go to the Rimantas Kaukėnas Charitable Foundation, which supports seriously ill children and their families. The highest bid of €650 was for the jersey of Wolves Twinsbet star Rasheed Sulaimon. Another fan offered €505 for Jeffery Taylor’s jersey.

“Contributing to the realisation of beautiful goals is a special feeling, so we are glad to have the opportunity to participate in this project, and that we are able to help seriously ill children. Thank you to all the basketball fans who participated in the auction. We can do a lot of great and meaningful work together,” said Wolves Twinsbet club manager Andrius Žiauberis.

The purpose of this project was to unite charity initiatives and communities, bringing together Lithuanian basketball clubs and fans for a noble cause – encouraging support for those in need. During the charity campaign, the nine teams playing in the Betsafe-LKL each selected a charity to represent, and the players competed wearing uniquely designed jerseys reflecting the style of their chosen charity.

This is not the first contribution of the club to charitable projects. Last season, the Vilnius-based team auctioned jerseys featuring children’s drawings, donating the proceeds to sick children. Thanks to this financial assistance, the dream of owning a puppy for a seriously ill Ukrainian girl, who recently moved to Lithuania due to the war, was fulfilled during halftime of the game against Žalgiris.
