BCWolves Twinsbet have announced that American import Tre’Shawn Thurman will continue to wear the Vilnius club’s jersey after the 28-year-old signed a new one-year contract.
The 6’6″ swingman averaged 10 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in the Betsafe-LKL tournament upon joining the Lithuanian capital’s team last summer from Filou Oostende – a club based in Ostend that competes in the Belgian national championship.
T.Thurman was among the team’s best players in the European Cup (BKT EuroCup) tournament, recording 14.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 1.7 assists per outing.
He showcased his best performance in the fourth round of the BKT-EuroCup when he scored 31 points (8/9 2PT FGs, 4/6 3PT FGs) against Besiktas of Istanbul while grabbing 7 rebounds, and collecting 37 utility points.
It was T. Thurman who hit a long three-pointer while being fouled, and later on added another clutch basket when the Vilnius squad was rallying in the final minute of the match, becoming one of the most important architects of Wolves Twinsbet’s historic first victory in the European Cup. He was then recognized as the most valuable player of the 4th round of the BKT-EuroCup.
In addition to T. Thurman, Jeffery Taylor, Vaidas Kariniauskas, Kristupas Žemaitis, Regimantas Miniotas, Matas Jogėla, Anthony Cowan, Marek Blaževic, and Daniel Baslyk will fight for the Wolves’ campaign next season.
