The BC Wolves of Vilnius have announced an agreement with the gambling brand Twinsbet, managed by Nesė company. Following the signing of a long-term agreement, the Lithuanian capital’s team will now be known as “Wolves Twinsbet”, and the Twinsbet logo will appear on the team jerseys of the Vilnius-based club.
According to Wolves club president Rimantas Kaukėnas, the new partnership with Twinsbet marks an important step in strengthening the club and implementing its existing corporate strategy.
“We have big goals for ourselves, so we are extremely happy to introduce our new partner, who, despite being a new player in the market, does not hide its goals and ambitions, which are both modern and innovative. We do not doubt that this long-term partnership will strengthen both the club and the company, providing a strong impetus for further growth, and will be beneficial not only for both businesses but also for the city of Vilnius, whose name the club proudly carries both domestically and internationally,” said R. Kaukėnas.
Alvidas Paulikas, head of UAB Nesė, expressed his admiration for the Wolves’ vision and long-term development plans. “The progress made in such a short time is very impressive. We share identical ambitions to grow rapidly and become leaders in Lithuania and beyond. I am confident that together we will achieve all our goals even faster and more efficiently,” said A. Paulikas.
The Wolves club, which is only in its second year of operation, received an assessment from the Euroleague organization last summer, earning an invitation to debut in the BKT EuroCup tournament, the second most prestigious tournament on the Old Continent.
Having moved to Vilnius last summer, the team has garnered significant attention from the residents of the Lithuanian capital, ranking as the second most-watched team in the BKT EuroCup regular season among its 20 participating clubs.
Among the 12 teams competing in the Lithuanian basketball league, the Wolves also rank second in terms of game attendance.
The club, which hosts its Betsafe-LKL, King Mindaugas Cup (Citadele-KMT), and BKT-EuroCup matches in the only private Twinsbet arena in Lithuania, will relocate to a state-of-the-art training center near Vilnius airport next spring.
