BC Wolves add Mindaugas Brazys to coaching staff

The BC Wolves bolstered their coaching staff with the recent addition of Mindaugas Brazys. The Vilnius-based club announced that the 41-year-old basketball specialist will take on the role of assistant coach, and together with Marius Leonavičius will be helping head coach Nedas Pacevičius.

M. Brazys was previously the head coach of Klaipėda’s BC Neptūnas team for one and a half seasons. He replaced Dainius Adomaitis, who went on to work in Japan and was part of his coaching staff for many years.

“I am glad that, when looking for a reinforcement of the coaching staff – the name of Mindaugas appeared among the candidates, and the club management approved my request to invite this basketball specialist to join our team. Mindaugas is one of the most experienced coaches-assistants, he managed Neptunas for more than a season. He knows the local league very well. Therefore, this arrival will be an obvious reinforcement of our coaching staff. Mindaugas will help us both in the training process and in preparing for games,” said N. Pacevičius about the new Wolves assistant coach.

In addition to his time with BC Neptunas, M. Brazys has also worked with other LKL clubs such as BC Žalgiris Kaunas, BC Lietkabelis Panevėžys, BC Pieno žvaigždės Pasvalys and BC Rytas Vilnius, as well as working with the Lithuanian national men’s and U18 national youth teams.

M. Brazys will make his official debut in his new designation on March 2, when the BC Wolves meet M Basket-Delamode Mažeikiai in Telšiai.
