Wolves Twinsbet keep R. Miniotas and K. Žemaitis in the roster

Wolves Twinsbet have announced that team captain Regimantas Miniotas and star guard Kristupas Žemaitis will both remain with the Vilnius squad for another season. The club exercised the option in their contracts to retain them on the roster.

A 6’8″ power forward/center, R. Miniotas joined the team at its founding in 2022. During last season’s Betsafe-LKL championship, he averaged 9.2 points, 6.1 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per game, while collecting 12.2 efficiency (EFF) points per game.

The Wolves Twinsbet big man shone brightly in the semi-final and bronze medal series, stepping up as the only healthy center when the team’s frontcourt was depleted by injuries. He averaged 14.1 points, 5.7 rebounds, 18.3 EFF points, and converted an impressive 74% of his two-point attempts during this period.

In the European Cup (BKT EuroCup) tournament, R. Miniotas logged 5.1 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 8 EFF points per game.

For his part, Kristupas Žemaitis can rightfully be called the “Iron Wolf” by basketball fans. The 28-year-old guard did not miss a single match for the team across all tournaments he participated in during his two seasons with the club, playing a total of 119 games for the Wolves.

In the recently concluded Betsafe-LKL championship, he averaged 7.2 points, 3.9 assists, and 2.8 rebounds, while notching 10.8 efficiency (EFF) points.

In the European Cup, K. Žemaitis was one of the most accurate shooters of the tournament, hitting 51% of his shots from distance. The 6’3″ guard scored 8.4 points, dished out 3.9 assists, grabbed 3.8 rebounds, and recorded 12.4 EFF points for Wolves Twinsbet.
